Update Movie Night & Dot-macracy

Dotmacracy was wrapped up and the information is now in the hands of Sean Koekoek at Paris Equipment Manufacturing Ltd. We are excitedly awaiting the design of our new playground.

Movie night was also a success, as children and adults of the community came out to watch Monsters Inc. and purchased popcorn, ice tea, bottled water and other snacks all proceeds went towards the playground fund.

Bluesfest has wrapped up. Thanks to everybody that supported up, and a big thank you to all our new volunteers!

Movie Night & Dotmacracy

Come check out our movie night, July 14th. We will be playing Monsters, Inc. We will also be having our last chance for the Dotmacracy, so come on down and see what's going on! We will be selling some snacks as well, all funds going to the playground.

Currently we are selling our bandana's at Bluesfest. Our hard workers have raised over $300 so far, and are having a great time!

Update

Welcome to all our new volunteers! We had a great AGM for the Co-op last night, where it was announced that we have raised over $800 for our new playground so far! We are looking forward to working with everyone over the summer and of course to our build day!

If you haven't signed up yet as a volunteer, you can Join the Effort at the right, or participate in some of our Fundraising Activities, or simply donate today to help us out! We will be posting our list of sponsors very soon.

We are selling our bandana's at Bluesfest this week! Come down and see us, or help promote the park! $5 each, many colours available!

Thanks for everyone who has helped out so far!

Welcome to Fairlea

Welcome to Fairlea Co-Op. We are currently raising funds to replace our playground. The old one has been in dire need of repair for some time, and isn't the safe and wholesome place it needs to be for our children to grow up in. Thankfully, we have some help.

Let Them Be Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to building healthy communities by building playgrounds, skate parks and fitness parks across Canada and around the world. They are helping us find the funds we need and will MATCH US DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR on new playground equipment. For every dollar you donate (Paypal donation button on the right), is actually $2 of buying power for us.

The South East Ottawa Community Health Centre is a charitable organization dedicated to improving Ottawa neighbourhoods, and they are generously collecting our online donations and providing receipts.

What can you do? The easiest thing to do is Donate!

If you want to do a little more, Volunteer! We need lots of people, for all kinds of help. The biggest job is going to be build day (September 15th), but we also need help fundraising, organizing, tear down, etc. If you know anyone with skills who can help, get them to sign up too!

C'mon guys, it won't fix itself!
